IFRS for SMEs Train-the-Trainer Workshop on 24-26 January 2011
- The International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) has issued an International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS) designed for use by small and medium-sized entities (SMEs). In recognition of the growing adoption of the IFRS for SMEs in the various jurisdictions, the Singapore Accounting Standards Council (ASC), with the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Singapore (ICPAS) as the strategic partner, have organised a three-day workshop on IFRS for SMEs. The event is essentially a Train-the-Trainer workshop. A summary of the workshop is included below.

Objective |
The key objective of the workshop is to develop the capacity of trainers to provide subsequent training on the IFRS for SMEs in their own jurisdictions. |

Who should attend |
People who are currently performing training using their local GAAP or IFRSs in the region. |
Commitment |
All trainer‑participants have to commit to conduct training on the IFRS for SMEs after completion of this workshop. Acceptance to the workshop is accompanied by the commitment of each participant to train others in the use of the IFRS for SMEs. |
Language |
Workshop will be conducted in English and no translation will be provided. |
Fee |
There is a nominal fee of S$300 per participant for the workshop. |
